Back to work, back to reality and back to slogging!!!

The illusion is over and I am back to work and back to reality. But I must say till the time this lasted it felt good really good. They say that all good things must come to an end, so my vacation is over. Travelling opens up an entirely new world to you and you start seeing things in a completely different prespective. I saw and observed many things and over time I will try to air the expriences here. I don't know how successful I will be in this, but I am determined to give it my best shot.

First things first, I just fail to understand what joy do people get by harassing others for no apparent reason. May be they derive a strange joy by harassing people and seeing them in helpless condition. The immigrition guys at Calcutta, I dont know what the hell kind of work they do and why the hell are they being paid for? After getting the boarding pass it seems that one is required to fill up an immigrition form. Now if someone does not tell this to me, how in the world am I supposed to know? We went to the immigrition counter and at the last moment we were told that we need to fill up a form.

They Immigrition guys were getting ready to close the counter and we had to rush to the other counter to get the form. The lady who gave us the boarding pass was not in her desk, I must tell you she was one lucky lady, I dnt know what would have happened had she been present in the counter! Now the real fun began, the guy in the immigrition then said that we cannot go as we have to show that we have an amount of $500 per person before we can board the flight. My brother had told us specifically what amount was needed and we were carrying that.

That Gentleman was hell bent on harassing us and when I asked him what is the solution to the problem is, he just kept repeating like a fool "This is not my rule, it is the Govt of India's rule and I can't do anything about this, but I can stop you from boarding the flight" Fed up with his constant bantering I replied "Well it cannot be your rule, we live in a democratic country so it has to be the Goverment's rule. Now could you please show me the rule that states that we need to carry $500 per head?" This got him and he mumbled something incoherent, and started some serious discussion with another fellow. After a few moments he did not say anything, just put his signature and the required seal without a word of complaint.

I never knew that the Government of India rules could change so easily, huh!!! I am tempted to change many rules now......I just wonder if someone fell in to this trap what will happen to those poor fellows, and I am sure many people have suffered due to this. I just don't understand what joy did he get by doing this? The Government has put those fellows to serve us public properly and they only seem to end up creating more trouble instead of helping us. Will this ever end???
